X-Men imag by Jonathan Hickman and Declan Shalvey teased by Marvel
It turns out that Pit won't be Jonathan Hickman's only last Holy Writ before helium retires as head X-Men writer. Wonder Comics just tweeted out a tease of a "new comics X-perience" from Hickman and Declan Shalvey to be launched happening September 9, which will be exclusive to the company's Marvel Unlimited app.
On with the proclamation of Hickman's new imag, the publisher is showing off a unused logotype for the Marvel Unlimited app.
The publishing firm hasn't unconcealed a great deal more than that, but this is curiously what the X-Manpower line could've been had the COVID-19 pandemic affected the comics industry more hard than it has. Back in Lordly, Hickman unconcealed that in mid-2020 he came up with a pitch for Marvel to convert the entire X-Men cable of titles into being integer-only.
"So, I've washed-out the last couple of years helping head the X-Work force office at Marvel and it's been a bad fascinating tantalize. Tried a lot of stuff, learned a lot of stuff," Hickman aforesaid in the August 9 edition of his newsletter. "But the biggest thing I wanted to try never came to fruition because Baseball field (our largest comic book distributor in the Continent comic diligence) was competent to get back up in the middle of the general and start shipping books again, when, for a hardly a weeks, it looked like they might not be able to."
Marvel (and the uncastrated print superhero comic book industry) halted their comics dispersion for almost 2 months, and only slowly came back to a full schedule. When that return seemed impossible, Hickman said He became jolly concerned.
"So with the mindset of chaos breeds chance, I Sabbatum down and wrote up a program to lead the entire X-line digital," the writer wrote. "Which went absolutely nowhere because Diamond and the market recovered. Again, that was great because everyone had their jobs restarted and the stores got to ride out open and the fans got to undergo new comics to read, but there were some pretty dandy ideas baked into the plan I wrote and I was secretly kind of bummed that I wouldn't atomic number 4 able-bodied to adjudicate them."
Some of those plans became Hickman's underway Three Worlds. Three Moons. Member comics on Substack, but IT appears part of it may distillery be happening at Marvel.
