I have an 03 Z66 WBH.
I thought I understand it has a 31 gallon gas tank.
However, it has gone down pretty conclusion to E doubly and both times only took retributive undre 26 gallons.
So is in that respect 5 gallons of cushion built into this thing?

Were you parked connected an ramp? When I park mine in my driveway, I get an extra 1/8 tank and at least another 20 miles happening my range.

The point at which the LOW FUEL substance comes on has systematically been at 5 gallons left. I always get 26 +/- 0.4 gallons if I go lawful to the next post after it comes on. Sometimes it can be on E for dozens of miles prior to this--that seems to fluctuate with inclines and momentum and things.

That light scares me. The single time I rent out it remain was to get an empty weight for my locomote to Jersey. Afterward weighing in at a whopping 5260 lbs, I put 28.25 gal in the tank, put my tailgate back on, put the window back in, put my bed covers back in and put my floor mats plump for in.

Hehehe... Did you weigh once more with a full tank of gas? I've always been singular when my rule ladle system of weights is... Sometimes we drive around on E (yeah, with the light connected) for for a while, and when we at long last fill out, pull away from the station feels like I receive the Park brake on!

Not still. I'll matter to IT again when I load IT up for the tripper. The Air Ram down pays aside how much IT would cost them to affect the selfsame weight multiplication 80%. Since its gormandise that I wouldn't let the movers touch anyway, it becomes a make headway/win situation.

Barely a small word of caution to those of you in warmish climates - the fuel in the tank acts as a coolant for the fuel pump - most would be well advised to not let information technology lead at a lower place 1/4 tank - my $.02

My low fire comes on betwixt 27 and 28 gallons, I regularly drive it past the insufficient fuel warning, and well at a lower place the "E" on the gauge. My biggest fill was 28.762 gallons, so I should hold had over 2 gallons left (30 to 50 miles). The trip computer goes from 40 miles remaining to "low fuel" at this point.
17,027.4 miles, 1157.431 gallons, 14.71 MPG since I got the Av.

Thats why most of us Canadians do not do the 91 octane performance climb... as this fire is an additional $0.10 per litre more
Todays fuel price is $0.709 per l... or $2.62 per US Imperial gallon... $1.88 US per US gallon
now 91 octane will cost $0.809 per litre...OR $3.00 per US gallon.... $2.15 US per The States gallon....scary...
And we don't real complain to our politicans about gas prices fuctuating about $0.10 per litre operating theatre $0.37 per gallon, live figure!
Now European Community is steady more scare... o'er a $1.00 a litre...

I obstructed in to arrest a gallon of brag for mix for my rif electric fan.
Went in to pay the 1.60 and the attendant aforementioned, "That won't get you right." I replied, "I just occupied up that Roll down out there." "NO! Is that each it holds?" "Yep... The best mileage of whatsoever full size truck connected the roadworthy." "See you following hebdomad."
He was altogether dumbstruck... still trying to figure that one out.

The emissions are seriously damaged if you run unstylish of fuel, chiefly the catalytic converter. This is why you have a good deal of fuel left when the red light comes on and wherefore you still have stacks of flatulency when you are bloodless on empty.

Seems like the gracious of thing they should assure you about. I hate not knowing where the real "E" is. I ran tabu of gas with my Sports coat when it first grazed the E. It took 17 Gal to fill it even though the tank was enrolled at 18. I put a gas tail in the backward of my AV and drove until IT was empty (the AV, not the gas lav). When it said I had about 40 miles left it switched to Low gear Fuel. 40 naut mi later, the gauge was on the nitty-gritty of the E, merely I got another 15 to 20 miles before IT began to sputter. I was able to fit 33 gals in the 31 gal tank at that point. If this did do some damage to the emissions or fuel pump, I just hope IT dies earlier the guarantee ends.
